Hello, I'm Wakaba. This is the last blog of this semester! It was difficult at first because I didn't have much experience writing a blog. However, as I got used to it, I started having fun writing blogs and reading my classmates' blogs. It was a very good experience!  This week, I went to Komeda Coffee with a friend. It was a little crowded, so there was a wait. I had an iced cafe latte and a mini Shiro Noir! It was very delicious. Thanks to that, I was able to do well on the exam. Thank you everyone for visiting my blog so far!  And thank you for your comment!

This week's events

Yesterday, for lunch, I bought a bread called "raw donut'' at a convenience store and ate it. It had chocolate whipped cream in it and was very delicious! There are so many different types of bread available at convenience stores that it's hard to choose. So, I think I'll try a different bread next time. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!  I like sweets called "Sakusaku Panda'' and buy them often. I bought this because the strawberry flavor was on sale for a limited time. It's very cute and delicious, so if you haven't tried it yet, please try it!  Today, I went to Mitsuke City due to my part-time job. It was my first time going there, so I was nervous, but I'm glad I arrived safely! Taking this opportunity, I wanted to go to various places in Niigata Prefecture. Thank you for reading my blog!

[Unit Project 2] Butter and Soy Sauce Spaghetti

Wakaba UP2  Do you like pasta? Pasta is now an Italian dish that is loved by many people in Japan, from children to adults. Pasta is said to have its origins in a dish called "purus'', which was eaten in ancient Roman times and was made by boiling flour into a porridge. There are various types of pasta. Among them, spaghetti is made by kneading flour into long thin strips, and is defined as having a thickness of around 2 mm.  This time, I will introduce the recipe for "Butter and Soy Sauce Spaghetti". I chose this dish because anyone can easily make spaghetti. Also, no special cooking knowledge or skills are required. And this dish brings back memories. I love spaghetti and used to make it with my mom when I was in elementary school. This dish was also the first pasta dish I ever made by myself. I remember making it for my family and being so happy when they praised it. This time, I will make spaghetti for one person.   [ Tools ] • One kitchen knife • One pot

How to spend a cold day

Last weekend, I went to Shabuyo. Since I went at night, I was also able to eat sushi and meatballs. There were various courses, but I chose the beef and pork course. I ate it with sukiyaki flavor and jjigae flavor. I was satisfied because I was able to eat my fill! I want to go again. It's near our university, so please come and check it out!  When I went shopping at a nearby supermarket today, there was a vending machine nearby, so I bought a hot caramel latte. I love caramel-flavored drinks and sweets! It's been very cold lately, so whenever I have something warm to eat, I tend to buy it. Everyone please take care of your health! It's cold and my hands are red...😂 Thank you for reading my blog!

The other day, my grandmother who lives in my hometown sent me sweets. This is a local confectionery from Iwate Prefecture called "Kamome no Tamago". Yellow bean paste is wrapped in castella cake and white chocolate, and is egg-shaped. This package is available for a limited time and is wrapped in red and white. There are also apple and strawberry flavors, so you can enjoy different flavors depending on the season. If you have a chance, please try it!  I found a nostalgic item at a 100 yen shop, so I bought it. This is "milmake'', a popular school lunch. Simply add it to milk and dissolve it to create a coffee or caramel flavor. I remember being happy when Milmake was served at school lunch! Have you ever drank this?  And yesterday, I bought some sweets at a convenience store. There were a lot of strawberry flavored products on sale at that time, so I bought the "Marugoto Strawberry''. It was so delicious that I would like to buy a different produ

How to spend the New Year

イメージ
For my first blog of 2024, I would like to talk about how to spend the New Year.  My family orders and eats ”Osechi” every New Year's Day. There were more than 20 colorful dishes, and just looking at them made me happy. I especially like “Red and white Kamaboko” and ”Datemaki”. It included boiled and vinegared foods that I don't usually eat, but they were very delicious. Each dish in Osechi has a meaning and is filled with wishes. For example, ”black soybeans” symbolize the wish to ”be able to work in good health all year round”. In addition, ”Kazu no ko” contains a prayer for ”prosperity of descendants.” I thought that one way to enjoy osechi dishes is to think about the meaning behind them while eating them. Osechi What is your favorite osechi dish? Thank you for reading my blog!!

Merry Christmas! Did you all eat Christmas cake? I ate a Christmas cake with a character called "Chiikawa". This was a cake that I had to decorate myself, so I was worried about whether I would be able to decorate it well, but I'm glad I was able to do it according to the instructions! There were fruits such as pineapple inside, and it was very delicious. This Christmas cake looked and tasted great.   The other day, I went to Ikutopia Shokuhana with a friend. During this period, an illumination event was held. It was very beautiful with all kinds of illuminations. I was happy that I was able to enjoy it slowly. We took lots of photos and made some great memories!  We also went to a place where plants were exhibited. It was beautifully decorated with red and pink plants and flowers. I love flowers, so just being in that space was very soothing. And oranges were also grown there. It was refreshing to see mandarin oranges actually being cultivated, as I had never really see
